Rugby Central is a home for every rugby fan — men's and women's, every union, every level. Post like you'd talk in the clubhouse: hard but fair. These guidelines apply to every post, thread, reply, display name, and match-day chat.
What's not allowed
- Abuse, threats or pile-ons. Criticise a performance, never attack a person. No abuse or threats against any player, referee, or fan.
- Sexism and demeaning content. Women's rugby is rugby. Sexist, demeaning, or sexual comments about players or fans are not welcome and will be removed.
- Hate. Nothing that attacks people for who they are — race, nationality, gender, sexuality, religion, or disability.
- Sexual or graphic content. No sexual content, no graphic material.
- Spam and self-promotion. No spam, scams, or unsolicited self-promotion.
How moderation works
Moderation is driven by user reports and human review — there is no automated content scanning. When a report is upheld, the person responsible moves up a three-step ladder, and every step is reversible:
- Warning — a notice, no restriction. A first breach is a chance to correct course.
- Temporary suspension (7 days) — you can still read, but cannot post, for the cooling-off period.
- Permanent ban — for persistent breaches. You are told why.
A moderator can also dismiss a report with no penalty, or lift any warning, suspension, or ban.
How to report
Use the report control on any post to flag it, choosing the reason that fits: abuse or threats, harassment, sexual content, spam, hate speech, or something else. You can also block a user so you no longer see their posts. Reports go to human moderators for review.
How to appeal
Because every sanction is reversible, you can appeal. If you believe a warning, suspension, or ban was a mistake, contact mobile@rugbycentral.app and a moderator will review it and can clear the sanction.
